Fake Turtle

A super easy, super yummy treat!

I call these delightful little bits fake turtles because while they have all the caramel, chocolate, and crunch of a complicated turtle they are super easy and cheap to make!

All you need:

1 bag of Rolos
About 40 square pretzels
About 40 pecans (usually 1 small bag is good)

Preheat oven to 350.
Lay about 40 pretzels on a cookie sheet and place 1 Rolo on each pretzel. Cook for 3-4 minutes until chocolate is shinny. Take out and immediately push pecan on the top. Let cool completely before eating.

2013 Christmas Craft Day!!!!

Its that time of year again! CHRISTMAS! One of the best parts of Christmas is crafting!  So my girls and I met for another craft day!  This year Pinterest made us step our game up and we had quite a few successful projects that came out of it!

Each girl brought an idea along with the supplies and we got to work!  This is an all day event so we also had yummy food and drinks:)

My craft was the Popsicle Stick snowflake.

What you need:
Short and long Popsicle sticks (a bunch depending on the size and amount)
Paper to cut small and medium circles (I used grocery bags)
Wood glue or craft glue
Spray Paint
Glitter
A cheat sheet for the pattern (I found the snowflake that I used on Pinterest.)

Once you have all your supplies it is easyLayout the pattern using just the sticks.  Determine how many connection points you want to cover with circles (I wouldn't cover all of them since that may look too busy!).  Cut circles from paper.  Start in the middle and begin gluing the sticks to the middle circle (make this circle a little bigger to fit all the sticks).  Then work your way out.  Once you have the flake you are looking for let it dry for about 30 minutes.

Once dry, bring them outside and spray paint them with white paint.  While the paint is still wet sprinkle them with glitter.  Let dry completely and hang as you please!
More to come on the other crafts:)

Time to go decorate at table!  Love this time of year!

Pumpkin Beer Bread

Easiest bread out there and is so good and moist!

All you need:
3 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
12 oz bottle of pumpkin beer (or whatever kind you want - the lighter the beer the less the bread will have the beer taste)

Mix all three ingredients until combined (don't over mix) and then pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes at 350.

Let cool slightly and serve! Amazing!
